Our Story began many years ago...
...Paul Klingeman Sr started his 4-H and FFA project when he was very young. The project turned into a career when he was 18. We joke saying its an FFA project gone HOG WILD! He started his farming career in Othello, WA; raising his pigs and his family. Our farm is now located in Ephrata Wa, where Paul and Karrie and their son Paul JR operate the Family Farm.
With over 30 years of experience raising pigs, our farm has grown tremendously. It is Washington States finest Sustainable Free Range pig farm. You wont be disappointed when visiting. Capturing the true way pigs should live is far and few between. Our pigs are treated with the utmost care, given the best quality life all pigs should live.
In the summer of 2011, Karrie and her daughters Laura and Dorothy, began attending a few local farmers markets. We now offer delivery to certain areas around the Columbia Basin and supply a variety of Pork Products to some very unique local stores.
ABOUT OUR PIGS
Our pigs are raised in a FREE RANGE and NATURAL environment.
We NEVER administer antibiotics, no growth stimulants or hormones, and no animal by-products. Not through injection, not in our feed, and not in our water- NEVER. WE NEVER administer antibiotics in any way shape or form to our pigs in our Free Range Natural program. What if a pig gets sick? you ask- We remove the pig from our program and take them to a sick pen where we watch the pig for a few days, if in those days the pig shows no sign of getting over its illness we then treat the pig and it gets sold as a "commercial" pig at a sale.
We NEVER house our sows in gestation stalls- they are Free to choose a birthing hut to live in while caring for their young. Our pigs are always homed in large open hoop structures. These hoop structures allow our pigs the freedom to roam. They always have access to the outdoors, food and water at all times. The young pigs are weined from their mother 5-7 weeks after birth- they are with their mother approximately 2-3 weeks longer at our farm than at commercial farms. After they are weined they are then moved into a new hoop house where they live in the same Free Range atmosphere, have access to the outdoors, food and water at all times as well.

|In 2007, our farm became the first Hog Operation in the United States to earn FOOD ALLIANCE CERTIFICATION, (requiring adherence to new and stricter guidelines for sustainable farming; no farrowing crates or gestation stalls).|

Our land is certified Organic, we raise organic pigs but a vast majority of our product that we sell directly to customers through out the Columbia Basin at the farmers markets and small local stores are from our Naturally Raised Pigs program- We raise them with the same practices as our organic pig program-but our natural hogs are fed the NON-GMO Verified Grains.
